Textile artist MA, graphic designer
Kirsi Sundell creates pictures and surfaces both as a pattern- and a graphic designer. She has a nearly 20 years´ experience of the design industry.
When designing patterns Kirsi prefers drawing by hand. She is constantly looking for new ways to sketch, although computer-aided design is highly useful, too. Usually, a hand-drawn sketch is the raw material of which she can process something completely new on her computer.
Although summer is her favorite time of year, she admits that the changing seasons are a true treasure for a designer: one season can be rough and colorful splashes of color, while another one might draw a more subtle picture.
